Yes--I was kinda wondering about that.
I don't know if it was spam or not but there was a thread about golfing. Well I'm not a golfer but a month ago I was channnel surfing on tv and saw and watched the LPG and yeah---that woke me up..hahaha.
Anyway my summer project is to completely revamp my fuel system in the rear.
New fuel cell-had to find one that would fit an old Harwood-and the closest one was the JAZ.
Removed all the old brackets and made up new ones. Kinda funny bought the fuel cell from Applied Racing Tech and saved $20.00 than go with the Summit Racing Pro Shop. Some welding in the rear etc etc.

Moved the fuel pump lower and got a new 100 micron stainless steel high flow fuel filter from Summit Racing.
Its called the summit inline billet fuel filter. Flows up to 150 gph at up to 300 psi for high volume filtration.
Changed all the fittings to accomadate the new stuff.

The old Harwood fuel cell had a better fuel cap mounting device under it (stainless steel and bolts were welded to two half round circles-hope that makes sense). The JAZ had a cheap plastic device (china???)
Nope Steve--can't have the old Harwood----its bad!!

All for this week or month or whatever.

Mr. Bruce Lee

Oh yes........those summer time projects are coming along fine. Just got some aluminum today to finish what I needed to do. I thought I would be done by now but an old adage "it always takes twice as long than anticipated". Have to re-hot rod the stuff all over-HA!

Yes Bruce--what weekend events are you talking about? I was thinking of going to the Super Street Drag Racing event at Speedworld-I believe its the 21 Aug. Just going to watch-won't do anything until the Risoline quick 32 next month at Speedworld.

Just browsed your MHPmachine shop. Very nice, clean and it looks like its all business. Man I would love to have a garage that looked like that!!

How about yourself--What are your plans for the next month?

Ron

Ron for August I'm running the team Firebird races as well as the upcoming all star car battle.
Went to the track last night to try and dial in car for 8.00 for the all star race and broke the exhaust stud boss out of the head right at the strip. I ran close 7.90 @175 but unfortunately engine is hurt.
My son Blake came over this morning and we started pulling the engine out at 8:45, had the spare in and running by 11:45. It is all buttoned up and back in the trailer waiting for this evening.
This engine is much slower than the one that I hurt, but it will still be great to be out at the track, bitching with every one else about how hot it is.
I will be going to the div7 race in Bakersfield to help with Denny Hills T/D in Sept.

Well I have not come on here in a long time because this placed died. Also the fact that I am no longer building a race car. But i still have allot of interest in the loacl drag racing scene. I wish I could get involved somehow again. So it would be cool to start seeing this place come back alive. I like going out to the track and meeting some of you like it was a couple of years ago.
So here is my part.

Any of you going to race at Pinks All Out?

I won't be at Pinks either. I don't have doors so I can't play.

I have all of my stuff pretty much finished up, tested the trans-brake and converter today. Went instant 6500 and knocked some stuff off the walls of the shop so I'd say the power is there. Judging by the speed my Mom left the shop the tune is a bit on the rich side so I should see a little more out of the converter once I start to pull some fuel away. If I can get down in the 1.08 - 1.09 60' range I should be able to make the 7.60 index without having to add nitro to the tank.
